Prescription Ordering Service Changes ( posted on Mar 13, 2017 )

As from 1st April 2017 The Prescription ordering service  via this website will change.


This is a Government and NHS England Initiative that practices are advised to switch too.

In order to use the new prescription ordering system you will need to contact the surgery to request your login & Password details that we will post out to you. 

 
We apologise for any early inconvenience but this new service will prove better whereby it will enable you to also make appointments & view your medical records online 24 hours a day.

 

You don't have to wait until 1st April to use the new service - you can register NOW (See online services below) and contact us and we can send you your login & password via post

Dr Razzaq's Replacement ( posted on Mar 8, 2017 )

We regret to inform you that Dr Omair Razzaq will be leaving us at the end of March. He is making the move to a larger practice out of the area.  It is not a decision he has made lightly and we wish him every success for his new venture and his future.

 

Dr Jayne Ballinger will replace Dr Razzaq and he will commence with Newholme Surgery April 2017.  Dr Ballinger is coming to us highly recommended

New Staff Member

We have a new Healthcare Assistant Mr John Wilkinson, who will work alongside and compliment our practice nurse Ruth Richards now that she is part-time.  John comes highly recommended, has many years experience behind him and works at two other practices also.  John will be here All day Tuesday and Friday afternoons.  We hope, like us, you will welcome him as part of the practice clinical team to Newholme Surgery.

Register for Online Services

 

Our online service allows you to book or cancel appointments and to order repeat prescriptions. From 1st April 2015 you will be able to view your allergies and adverse reactions and also all your medication. In the future you will be able to access your test results, letters, and some consultations.

Contact the surgery to request a Patient Access registration letter. When you collect the letter from your practice, you'll need to take proof of identity (e.g. your driving licence or passport) with you. 

 

Once you have your Registration Letter go to https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/ to set up you online account.

 

When patients are registering to use the service they should not use a shared email address. For example, if a husband and wife have separate accounts but use the same email address, both will see all online appointment booking confirmations and reminders for both accounts.

 

Please note: Patients are advised to read the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions which are available on the site. By using Patient Access patients automatically indicate their acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

 

There is also a Patient Access APP available FREE on Android an iOS Mobiles

CQC Statement Of Purpose ( posted on Mar 27, 2013 )

Newholme Surgery is now registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the Health & Social Care Act 2008.  As part of this registration we have now submitted the practice 'Statement of Purpose' which highlights the aims and objectives of the registration.  This document is a legally binding document with the CQC and is available on our website (in the documents section' and is also available in paper format which you can request at reception.
